Before Your Visit (Pre-prep)*

FOR BEST RESULTS, PLEASE FOLLOW GUIDELINES BELOW

*Please note: If you’re experiencing long periods of difficulty with constipation and flow of movement and clarity in your mind and body, one session will not yield the long term results you typically gain through colon hydrotherapy. This is not a one and done process. A minimum of at least 3 sessions in a period of 2 weeks is suggested. First session is more of a loosening session, 2nd session more stool will be released and the third, you will be able to purge more of the toxins that tend to be held deep in the lining of the colon.

If you’re looking to do a deeper reset, lose weight and purge toxins that sit in the body for years, such as alcohol, medication, nicotine and marijuana, then we will assess at that time what a recommended regimen would be.

This journey can be an arduous one.. It took you a long time, if not years to arrive at this point, so an overnight fix will not be possible.

If your goal is to do multiple sessions with us, you are able to come in within a day of booking. Keeping in mind your hydration with the lemon water and/or other hydration methods as suggested below and if needed to aid in severe constipation, a mild stool softener can be taken as well the evening prior to aid in your release during your session. We need you as hydrated as possible.

If you are only able to come in for one session at this time, it is highly suggested starting the prep listed below 2-4 days before your session for best results.

A list of foods you should NOT eat below are as follows:

  • No red meat

  • No dairy products - cheese, milk, yogurt, etc.

  • No peanut butter, almond butter, hummus, chocolate, etc.

  • No cruciferous veggies such as: broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage, kale, brussel sprouts

  • No dried fruit, sugary or binding/sticky foods

  • No white starches; breads, pasta, rice, pita bread, etc

  • No popcorn, chips, cookies, crackers, etc.

  • No legumes, beans or lentils

  • No whey or soy products

  • No baked potato, broccoli & cheddar or clam chowder soups

During your colonic journey, what is ok to eat:

  • Broth soups are ideal, with cooked veggies and chicken fish or turkey

  • Chicken, fish or turkey ok with a salad

  • Smoothies ok

  • Fruits ok. Berries are ideal

*We know this seems like a limited list of foods to eat and for some can be quite daunting to follow but keep in mind that this is solely to prepare you as best as possible for your colonic journey with us. By doing so, you take preventative measures against any harsh detoxing symptoms, such as nausea, vomiting and severe cramping, working towards the best possible results at the end of your journey with us.

So please do your best to follow this preprep! We are here to support you! You’ve got this!

Hydrate and replenish:

Alcohol, coffee, caffeinated teas, cigarettes, marijuana, medication/opiates, all dehydrate the colon making it very difficult to have a bowel movement. So HYDRATE! Replenish with the following beverages below as well:

  • Drink 6-8 oz hot water, squeezing 2-3 lemons in each cup at night before bed and first thing in the morning to help loosen stool and toxins stuck in the lining of the colon. Adding lemon serves as a stool softener when added to your water.

  • Alkaline water, watermelon water, aloe vera juice, cucumber water or coconut water are also good to stay hydrated.

  • Adding a couple of crystals of celtic salt on your tongue 2 minutes before drinking water can also help to absorb the water into your system as well.

  • Adding electrolytes or IV powders into your water is also another option.

  • You may also eat two tablespoonful of sea moss or coconut oil every day to aid in removing the waste and toxins from your digestive tract while healing and nourishing tissue cells and organs.

On the Day of Your Session:

  • No food two hours before appt.

  • Continuing to drink lemon water is encouraged or fresh fruit juice are ok. If severely impacted or constipated, taking a mild stool softener the evening before can help. However, the lemon water as suggested will serve as a mild stool softener as well and has been proven to be quite beneficial, not only for hydration but also for facilitating the ease of release during your colonic session.

  • Finding out your blood type prior to your appointment, however not mandatory, would help us determining some factors that could be affecting your diet and colon currently.

  • Please be prepared to be with us for 90 minutes during your first time visit with us. First 30 minutes consists of discussing your pre-filled intake forms along with your consultation, followed by a full hour for your session; that is from time you undress to time you dress again at end of session.

Optional: During your session, your body temperature will fluctuate and you may get cold and /or hot. If you tend to get chilly easily, bring socks and a long sleeve or sweater.

After Your Visit (Post-care)

You can eat right away but it's best to eat something cooked, preferably a soup with a broth like veggie soup, chicken soup, pho, miso or wonton soup.

No raw foods after your session, for about 2 hours to avoid cramping or bloating. That includes fruits, veggies, sushi, raw nuts and smoothies.

Should you get any cramping or bloating for any reason, drink a couple of cups of hot lemon water until symptoms subside.

Remember: 6-8 oz hot water with lemon, at night before bed or first thing in the morning to help loosen stool and help with bloating. This is something that you can incorporate in your daily routine as it’s been shown to greatly improve energy and daily bowel movements.

Drink plenty of water, lemon water, alkaline water, watermelon water, aloe vera juice or coconut water to stay hydrated. One cup of coffee or a caffeinated beverage of choice, once per day is fine. Just be sure to replenish with hydrating liquids if drinking liquids that dehydrate like coffee or alcohol.

It’s absolutely normal not to have a bowel movement 2-4 days after your session. If you are extremely uncomfortable and you are not coming in for a series of follow up colonic sessions, magnesium citrate or epsom salt flush can help you promote a bowel movement. However, it is encouraged you wait as the colon needs time to recover after a colonic session to regenerate natural movement again.

If you are continuing with a series of colonics, continue to eat clean as recommended by your colon hydrotherapist in the pre-prep instructions.

Chicken, fish and turkey is good along with fruits and veggies, unless on a vegan or vegetarian diet, of course.

Avoid sticky foods like cheese, starches, dates, cashews, peanut butter, etc.

Should you feel a bit sleepy, tired or a bit crampy after your session, these symptoms are normal and should subside by end of night. An Epsom salt bath would be excellent as you’ll still be detoxing after, followed by a nap, if time allows. Some feel energized enough to make a trip to the gym after or going back to work after your session, is ok. Just make sure you use the bathroom one more time before your workout or starting your work schedule.

However, pending what the body needs to purge and detoxify from, energy may still be low the next day as the body can continue to detox for the next 24 hrs or so. In most cases, energy should be solid by the following day and can resume regular activities or daily routine.
